Taking the First Step
The First Step
Seeking treatment for an eating disorder can be a difficult step to take. Finding the right treatment resource, arranging funding for treatment, and, then, facing the doubts and fears one may have about treatment are all challenges to getting the help you need.
We are committed to helping you find the right resources. If for any reason CED is not the right place for you, we will help you find a program to fit your needs.
Call us at 734-668-8585 or email us at info@center4ed.org with any questions or to set up your initial appointment.
The first appointment...
Your initial evaluation will take place with the CED staff member who will be your primary therapist. She will talk with you in-depth about your concerns and important aspects of your personal and family history. Based on this assessment your therapist will discuss her recommendations regarding your individualized treatment plan. If you attend the session with a family member or significant other, that person, if you wish, will be invited to take part in a portion of the interview and treatment plan discussion.
The involvement of other specialist members of your treatment team will be reviewed with you including the frequency of sessions and estimated length of treatment.
Insurance
CED does no direct insurance billing. We are a fee-for-service practice. We do provide statements with the proper diagnostic and procedure codes that you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. If you would like to receive treatment with a provider that offers direct billing, we will provide you with referrals to resources of that type available in your community.
The first step is the hardest.
